Day 6 – The Most Spectacular Sin

Today’s Reading: Mark 14:41-46
Today’s Reference: Romans 8:1-2 “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.”

It was the most spectacular sin in history, betraying the Messiah to a cruel death. As we saw yesterday, Judas responded with worldly sorrow that led to death, both physical and everlasting. But could he have been forgiven if he’d taken his guilt to Jesus instead of to men? Yes.

Maybe there’s a sin in your own past you think is “too big to forgive,” or maybe you’ve given up on someone you know as “too bad to save.” But there’s no such thing, my friend. You can’t out-sin God’s grace. Judas could have been saved through repentance. That renegade you’re thinking of could some day meet you in Heaven. And that sin on your own conscience…hand it over to Christ and He will take care of it.

There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. If you are in Christ today, that means you. No condemnation. None. You can be free!

Prayer:

Father, help me to see that Jesus Christ is the cure for all sin, and to give every sin up to Him so that I can be free. And help me never to give up on anyone’s salvation, remembering that You can save anyone, no matter what they’ve done.

In Jesus’ name, amen.
