The world is suffering, and many are looking for help. “Where is God?” and “Why isn’t God helping?” are common cries. Asaph, the writer of Psalm 77, grappled with the same questions. Why was God seemingly silent while he suffered?
Asaph tells us that God wasn’t actually silent. Circumstances were whispering. Redemption was speaking. The promises of God were shouting. God was not indifferent to Asaph’s struggles, nor is He indifferent to ours. And if we listen, we can hear the Almighty speaking to us.
