Who is our spiritual ancestor? Paul says that there are only two possibilities: Adam and Jesus. All of humanity is under Adam and therefore are condemned. But when we say yes to Christ through faith, this changes. We are freed from the old sinful master and can finally begin to say no to the old ways of sin and pursue a life of holiness.
