Choosing Your Master

The book of Romans continues, even to this day, to shape history.

Humanity has suppressed the truth.

When we are hypocritical, we dishonor God’s name and invite His discipline upon us.

Left to ourselves, not one of us would seek God.

By faith in Jesus Christ, we can be justified before a holy God.

The cross was the reason why a holy God could lavish us with mercy without tarnishing His justice.

Our justification gives us peace with God and continual access to His royal presence. 

Because we have said to yes to Christ, we can now say no to the old ways of Adam. 

Jesus’ history has become our history. We died, rose, and ascended with Him.

We have died to the Law, and Jesus has set us free.

We become what we focus on. Will we set our minds on spiritual things?

We have rights and privileges as children of God.

Nothing is untainted from self-interest and sin.

We can fish in the most improbable places, at the most inappropriate times, and even among impossible people.
