Mary, The Mother Of Jesus

A Virgin's Child

Dr. Erwin W. Lutzer | December 7, 1997

Selected highlights from this sermon

Mary had a unique commission: she was to bear the Son of God. The Scriptures simply and plainly describe her as a virgin. This was the chosen means by which Jesus would enter the world.

Fulfilling the prophecies of Isaiah, Jesus was born to Mary, and from infancy, He was without taint or sin. He was “The Holy Offspring.” And for all of those who feel laden with guilt and stain, Jesus promises that we may one day be holy as He is holy.
