The "Measly" 300

And the LORD said to Gideon, “With the 300 men who lapped I will save you and give the Midianites into your hand, and let all the others go every man to his home.” Judges 7:7

It would be a good thing for the church of God if all the fearful and faithless ones were to step to the rear, and let those who are full of faith and courage take their empty pitchers and go forward against the enemy. The little band of three hundred men who were left with Gideon routed the Midianites, but it was not their own might that gave them the victory. It was “the sword of the LORD, and of Gideon” (Judges 7:18). If we go on in the Name of the Lord, and trusting to His might, we shall succeed.

What kind of a person does God use? Consider: Gideon was outnumbered four hundred and fifty to one! A person of faith, not fear. A person of focus, not carelessness! 
You can’t be too small for God to use. God delights in taking that which is despised, small, and unassuming, and using our weaknesses for His glory. Often it is not a matter of giftedness or talent that He honors; He honors humility. Though you can’t be too small for God to use, you can be too big. The Scripture says God is able to save by many or by few  (1 Samuel 14:6). Let us never forget that the battle is the Lord’s! 
God uses imperfect and weak saints who never forget that the battle is the Lord’s! Apply that to your personal battle today!.

PRAYER
Father, today, I transfer the weight of my personal battle to your shoulders.
