Hi, this is Pastor Lutzer. I want to wish you a very blessed new year.
And, of course, we don’t know what the new year holds, but our faith and trust is in God and it’s in the dissemination of the Gospel. And I’m so glad to be able to report to you that, thanks to the ministry of Moody Church Media, we are now in fifty different countries in five different languages. We are also in most of India in English, we are in Russian, and, after the first of the year, we hope to go into Portuguese and also Turkish. Why can we do this? It’s because of people just like you.
You know, as we look around and we see what is happening in our society and in our country, we realize that many things are falling apart. We’re involved in wars, we have economic challenges, but there’s one thing that is constant—year after year after year—and that is the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. From my heart to yours, I want to thank the many of you who have helped us. And as we partner together, we continue to grow. So face the new year both with realism but also optimism, because remember: God is still on the throne and (as a popular book emphasizes) “Heaven Rules!”
