Where Was God?

Is God Responsible For What Happens In His World?

Dr. Erwin W. Lutzer | January 15, 2006

Selected highlights from this sermon

How can God be good when He permits or does things that seem so destructive to humans? It's because God is the Creator whereas we are the creatures. Therefore, God plays by a different set of rules. God acts from the standpoint of eternity not time. All decisions are made with an infinite perspective.

There’s so much that God has in mind that you and I can’t comprehend the depths of if. It is not necessary for us to see God’s eternal purposes in order for us to believe that He had such a plan that is fully known to Him and it is good.

When we trust God even though He hasn't revealed the details to us—this is the kind of faith that delights His heart.
