Getting Prayer Right Part 2

Part 2 of 3
Jesus told a parable about a man who needed bread urgently. The man went to a friend at midnight, and because of his boldness, he received the bread he needed. Jesus teaches us to be bold in praying to the Father, saying, “Ask, and it will be given to you.”
God invites us not only to have a relationship with Him, but to have something even deeper. He invites us to experience an intimate friendship. Whether we struggle to find time for God, feel abandoned when we don’t feel His presence, or experience seasons of spiritual drought, God is reaching out to us.
In this book, Pastor Erwin Lutzer shows us how to identify and overcome the obstacles that keep us from getting closer to God. Using lessons from the life of Moses, you’ll learn how to overcome doubt, obey God’s call, and learn to trust Him. The life of Moses also illustrates how to expose the excuses and idols that come between us and God so that we may be motivated to pursue Him and to “draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith.”
