Pulling Together In A World Tearing Apart | Ephesians 2

In Ephesians, Paul shows us that there are heavenly resources for earthly battles. 

God chose us for Himself, and our salvation is all about Him.

Our salvation starts with the Trinity. The Father chose us. The Son redeemed us. The Spirit sealed us. 

Because of the Holy Spirit, we are guaranteed passage all the way from here to heaven.

Our greatest need is always to see and know God.

Grace can be difficult to accept because it is so amazing. 

Jesus bridged the gap and reconciled us to one another.

God is constructing a building for Himself, and the church is His residence. 

Through the Gospel, we are all heirs and members.

God’s love is not gauged by our circumstances; it is demonstrated in God’s Son.

Unity is the basis of the church’s power. 

The church cannot be healthy unless everyone comes together, identifies their gifts, and joyfully serves.

What we think leads to what we do, so take off the old self and put on the new.

It is God’s intention to change us from the inside out.

God is working in us to make us like Himself.

As Christians, the Spirit is already within us, but we must yield to the Spirit’s gentle control. 

Marriage reveals our inward selfishness, and as husbands, we are called to sacrificially make tough decisions in our wives’ favor. 

Marriage is not simply a social construct.

Every single mundane act done for Christ has eternal significance.

The Gospel preserves our mind, and it protects us.

If you have a wrong view of sin, you’ll be wrong about everything that really matters.

Misery is a gift of God—it’s His way of saying, “why don’t you turn to Me?”

We will always be covetous as long as we possess.
