Rescued From Habitual Sin Part 1
April 23, 2021
Part 1 of 2
There is no “safe” sin. We might be tempted to excuse our wrongdoing, claiming we can control our sin, but it will always demand more. Sin is not static, and its ultimate destination is death. But thanks be to God, at conversion, we are set free from our old slave master the devil, and we become slaves to righteousness, free to be what God created us to be.
These messages, based on the book of Romans, show that in the gift of salvation we see God at His best; the cross is God’s farthest outreach to us. Here we see the full range of His attributes, all converging together in an ambitious rescue plan for us as sinners.
The overriding message of the series is that the Gospel, properly understood, is not simply to believe on Christ at a point in time, but rather to understand why we need the Gospel every single day. We must depend on Christ to represent us to the Father daily, hourly. Here is hope for great sinners and instruction for struggling saints.
This series contains 12 sermons on 6 CDs.
