The Gift Of Sensitivity Part 1
October 17, 2019
Part 1 of 2
Have you ever felt wounded when someone said an unkind word to you? Did you know that God is also wounded when you sin? The Bible calls this “grieving the Holy Spirit.” As we mature in the faith, we become ever more sensitive to the Spirit’s presence, and our behavior begins to change.
Our culture is always busy, but often with activities of little eternal significance. In The Pursuit Of God, A. W. Tozer urges us to replace low thoughts of God with lofty ones, to quiet our lives so we can know God’s presence. He reminds us that life apart from God is really no life at all. To pursue God is to know Him, and in our knowing, we are drawn close to God.
