There’s more than one kind of thirst. Water takes care of physical thirst. But when we feel a thirst in our hearts, there’s only one place to find that kind of water. Let’s look at a dramatic setting, where Jesus proclaimed Himself as the source of living water.
Our culture is always busy, but often with activities of little eternal significance. In The Pursuit Of God, A. W. Tozer urges us to replace low thoughts of God with lofty ones, to quiet our lives so we can know God’s presence. He reminds us that life apart from God is really no life at all. To pursue God is to know Him, and in our knowing, we are drawn close to God.
