A Faith That Risks Part 2
October 05, 2016
Part 2 of 2
When our faith in God is genuine, it causes us to make choices in God’s favor. We willingly take the risk of alienating those around us when we choose God’s way over that of the world. That’s what Moses did, as we read in Hebrews 11.
Is our faith willing to take risks? Will our faith endure even when our daily circumstances do not improve? Encountering persecution for the sake of Christ can drive us away from prayer to the passing pleasures of sin.
These two sermons challenge our short-sighted desires and encourage us to look forward to and invest in the coming world’s eternal rewards. Like Moses, let us be willing to cast aside our temporal comforts for the disgrace of being associated with our Savior!
