A Tribute to Charlie Kirk

Charlie Kirk (October 14, 1993–September 10, 2025) I am devastated. As we all know, Charlie Kirk was shot to death yesterday (September 10) while answering questions at Utah Valley University. Regardless of your political convictions, all admit that this young man was very effective in giving high school and university students an alternative to the secular ideologies they were experiencing in many of their classrooms. The news of his assassination reached Rebecca and me here in Switzerland, where we are leading a tour to the sites of the Protestant Reformation. Though we did meet on a couple of occasions, I … Read More >

God's Providence in the Lutzers' 55-Year Marriage

Today is our 55th wedding anniversary. Rebecca and I look back, marveling at how little we knew about who we were, the challenges we would face, and the future God had mapped out for us. After our wedding in a small church in the Dallas area, we packed everything we had into my 1965 Buick and started the trek to Canada, where I would teach in a Bible school for one more year. Then, under the providence of God, I was accepted at Drew University in New Jersey. On the way, we stopped in Chicago for some summer classes, again … Read More >

Pastor Lutzer Shares The Gospel On National T.V. In Albania

A message from Pastor Erwin Lutzer, "This is the first time the Gospel was shared on national T.V. in Albania. The interview went viral and was the number one shared program on April 29, 2024. Pastor Plator, one of the leaders of the evangelical movement, was also interviewed. He is organizing all of my engagements, including a large rally scheduled for Saturday, May 4. The station received complaints for letting me talk openly about Jesus but all is well. Thank you so much for your prayers. God is answering!" The following is a translated transcript generated by a transcription service. … Read More >

Is God Dead? | The Eclipse of God in American Culture #2

The ideas of philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche are pervasive throughout our culture. While critics of Christianity say, “God is dead,” history tells the tale of a diminishing view of God. Pastor Lutzer draws our eyes upward to God’s incomparable power. As the West turns its back on God, where does this leave North American culture?  Order Pastor Lutzer's brand-new book at eclipseofGod.org. A Preaching Tour in Albania–April 15-25, 2023

I’ve been impacted by a recent speaking tour in Albania. I have visited many different countries in the world, but this trip to Albania has affected me most deeply. My wife, Rebecca, and I returned with a burden for that country, but also for America. There are lessons learned, observations made, and scenes that will stay with me until I die. Some background. Albania was Stalinized beginning in 1944, and by 1967, it was the first country in the world to include in its constitution that there is no God. The surveillance of the people was so detailed and so … Read More >

Wildfires, Hurricanes, and Floods

What is God saying to us? The scenes are—well, they are frequently described as apocalyptic. That word rings with a prophetic tone; it means “pertaining to the end times.” A more familiar word might be catastrophic. Cameras from helicopters and drones, people with their smart phones and news teams on the ground, reveal miles upon miles of burned homes and businesses, and people fleeing for their lives with just the clothes on their backs. More than 60 square miles of some of the most expensive homes in the Los Angeles area, burned to the ground. As of this … Read More >

Pastor Lutzer Speaks On “One Minute After You Die” At Regional Rally In Albania

This past Saturday on May 4, 2024, it was my privilege to speak to what was, most likely, the largest gathering of evangelicals in Southeast Albania. More than twenty churches came together, many by bus, to worship and celebrate their unity in Christ. Various musical groups led us in worship. Also, a short documentary was shown about the heroes who were faithful to Christ during the harsh crackdown of the communist era in Albania (1944–1992). Part of the crowd of 1,800 evangelicals that gathered in Korçë, Albania on May 4 to worship together and listen to God’s Word. In addition … Read More >

Are You Praying For Revival?

If So, What Are You Praying For? I often meet believers who say, “We’re praying for revival!” But I wonder, “What exactly are they praying for?” Are they praying that God will clean up America’s deficient morality so we will no longer have to face the headwinds of a hostile culture? I think many of us think it would be wonderful if we could settle back to our former American way of life, which by and large, accepted our Christian values. Such people—bless them—might not know that revival doesn’t make life easier; the obedience it demands is often painful, gut-wrenching, … Read More >

5 Minutes With Pastor Lutzer | When You've Been Wronged Part 4

Imagine getting a one-on-one counseling session with God. Who could give you better advice? Well, Cain allowed his anger, envy and jealousy to override the counsel given to him, personally, by God—and killed his brother Abel. He was so blind to his own sinful jealousy, all he could think about was avenging his wounded pride at any cost. Let's heed God's warning today that sin is crouching at the door.   Here are all of the ways that you can follow along with 5 Minutes With Pastor Lutzer: On our Podcast via iTunes and Google Podcasts On our Facebook page On our  … Read More >
