An Indescribable Inheritance

The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son. Revelation 21:7

D.L. MOODY
I used to have my Sabbath-school children sing, “I want to be an angel;” but I have not done so for years. We shall be above angels: we shall be sons of God. Just see what a kingdom we shall come into. We shall inherit all things! Do you ask me how much I am worth? I don’t know. The Rothschilds cannot compute their wealth. They don’t know how many millions they own. That is my condition—I haven’t the slightest idea how much I am worth. God has no poor children. If we overcome, we shall inherit all things.

ERWIN LUTZER
God welcomes us into His family as a son or daughter with all the associated rights and the privileges. Though we can begin to enjoy our inheritance right away on Earth, the eventual, ultimate enjoyment will be heaven. Whether you have been saved for forty years or are a brand- new Christian, our status as a son or daughter before God is the same. Your spiritual condition might be that of a baby, but your position is that of an adopted son or daughter of God.
When it comes to the matter of adoption and becoming a child of God, the entire Trinity is involved. We are welcomed by our Father, assured of our security by the Spirit, and given an inheritance shared with us  by the Son (Ephesians 1:3–14). There is nothing that belongs to Jesus which He does not share with us as joint-heirs (Romans 8:17). We will be trophies of God’s grace forever. And yes, we shall inherit all things!

PRAYER
Lord, thank you for your indescribable grace in declaring me to be a child of the Most High.
