Summary

It is human nature to want to be in control and manipulate circumstances in our favor. The Old Testament patriarch Jacob was a schemer who sought to gain every advantage he could. It took a dramatic intervention in his life to get him to realize that God was in control, and not him. The lesson he learned can become our lesson as well.
