The Mighty God
Dr. Warren W. Wiersbe | November 30, 1975Selected highlights from this sermon
Jesus’ name, Mighty God, means that He is all-powerful. There are times in life that we don’t know what to do, but we can turn to the Lord who will give us strength. Jesus can take care of the demands of life because He is the Mighty God.

Jesus takes care of the demands of life because He is the Mighty God.
We live in an age of physical and technological power but moral and spiritual weakness.
The name Mighty God teaches us three important lessons about Jesus:
- Jesus Christ is God.
- If Jesus were not God, we are a bunch of fools.
- Jesus demanded the same respect as God.
- All throughout the New Testament, Jesus is called God.
- If Jesus is God, then we must obey what He says.
- Jesus Christ is the Mighty God.
- Jesus is the cohesive Creator of the universe, and He keeps all things together.
- Jesus showed His power when He was here on Earth.
- Jesus’ might is available to us.
- We are strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit.
- We are given might according to His glory.
- We cannot manufacture God’s power; He gives it to us.
- No matter what happens in life, God ends up victorious.
- God’s power is almighty.
- God’s power can get us through anything that comes our way.
There are times in life that we don’t know what to do, but we can turn to the Lord and He will give us strength.
God is looking for people to whom He can entrust His power so that He gets all the glory.
