Summary

Abraham is put to the ultimate test: he’s to sacrifice his son. Though in many ways this is an analogy of Calvary, there is one way in which the analogy breaks down: there was no rescue for Jesus from the cross. God didn’t prevent the death of His beloved Son. Jesus went the whole way—for you and for me.
