Built into every one of us is a tendency to focus on self. We see life through the lens of “how does this affect me?” After Cain killed Abel, he had no remorse. Rather, he bemoaned his fate of becoming a restless wanderer. For us, it’s only through the redemption Jesus provides that we can get our eyes off of ourselves.
