Summary

When reading the Bible, some people skip over the long genealogies they find, lists of names they can’t pronounce and don’t really understand. Some of these lists are in the Old Testament, and trace the generations of Israel’s leadership. But the most crucial list like this in the Bible tells about the line that brought us Jesus, and this genealogy makes it clear that the King of kings has a legal right to the throne of Israel, as prophesied in the Old Testament.
