Summary

It’s human nature to want to be in control and to manipulate circumstances in our favor. The Old Testament patriarch Jacob was a schemer who sought to gain every advantage he could. It took a dramatic intervention in his life for him to realize that God was in control, and not himself. The lesson he learned is our lesson to learn as well.
